Lorna Muthamia
Speech Pathologist
Lorna is a speech pathologist, educator and advocate for making speech therapy accessible to the families who need it most. She trained at the University of Canterbury in New Zealand, holds a Master of Applied Research from La Trobe University, and brings over a decade of clinical experience across two continents.
Before returning to Melbourne in 2021, Lorna spent more than ten years in Nairobi, Kenya, where she founded the largest speech therapy clinic in East and Central Africa — helping thousands of families access services that didn't exist before. That experience shaped her commitment to building sustainable, accessible models of care.
At Spotswood Wellness Collective, Lorna provides speech pathology and educational support through her practice, Learning Re-Imagined, helping children overcome communication and learning challenges. She also works closely with parents, giving them practical knowledge and tools to support their child's development at home.
Qualifications: Master of Applied Research, La Trobe University · Bachelor of Speech and Language Therapy, University of Canterbury (NZ).
